Throughout the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s, Paulson Machinery & Implements supplied farm machinery to local farmers in several townships around Northwestern Minnesota. Floyd Paulson was well-known in these parts for not only bringing quality farm machinery to the area but also for helping local farmers with products and techniques that would yield them better crops.

Weekends were spent driving throughout the area looking at various crops that look about the same to a young kid. But when you know who owns which pieces of land, you know who to talk to when their crops could look better. Floyd made sure to know the owners and their crops so he helped those who needed it most. He dealt with people honestly, earnestly, and by adding real value.

Floyd served in the Korean War, was a husband, father, grandfather, farmer, and businessman. Lucille, his wife, was a strong, hardworking woman, a quiet enabler of everything they did and had. After Floyd and Lucille passed, a park was created in their name —an aspiration few can achieve without honor and fairness. Here is what is printed on the memorial:

Define for me a legend, a man of infinite truth
Define for me a man of valor, successful or obtuse?
Fill all the pages of the history books with stories, forever sung
But while you regale nameless faces of glory,
remember two individuals we now proudly present:
Floyd I Paulson; Lucille M Paulson

These values are passed into Paulson Exchange where we seek to improve value, find strategic wins for buyers and sellers, and honor the hard work of entrepreneurs who founded our country and our country’s employers.
